Notes

On 12 January 2009, CASPAR welcomed over forty participants to its Training Day for the Scientific and Cultural Domains in Rome's Instituto Centrale per il Catalogo delle biblioteche italiane e per le informazioni bibliografiche (ICCU). The event was very informative and covered a wide range of topics including: preservation threats, the preservation process and issues/steps to consider, preservation information conceptual models, preservation infrastructure and
authenticity, among others.

The afternoon offered attendees the opportunity to break into two parallel sessions regarding either cultural data or scientific data. It was a very good chance for the public to learn more about the goals and progress of CASPAR while asking questions and becoming involved in the project.
