CASPAR Key Components

During the three-year CASPAR project, extremely important work has been carried out to develop concrete tools in accordance with the OAIS reference model, to answer the need to be able to preserve digital encoded information in such a way as to be utilizable and understood in the future.
This overview presents both the general structure and details of the complete system for the digital preservation which has been implemented by CASPAR, based on the OAIS model, explaining the main activities, the specific tools involved in each of them and their purpose, and matching the OAIS requirements with the CASPAR solutions.
